Not able to come into our office and process your request?
Auto Tags & Titles can now process documents by mail.
Mail-in services are available if you meet ONE of the following requirements:
You are an Alaskan resident
The vehicle is in Alaska
You have an Alaskan title
The paperwork required is the same as if you were to walk in to our office:
- Completed Vehicle Transaction Application (V1)
- Proof of ownership document (usually a title)
- Any supporting documents that may need to accompany the title (title extensions, Power of Attorney, Odometer Disclosure Statements)
Because the documentation required varies so much, we highly recommend that you scan your documents to us via email before sending in the mail. We will review what you have, let you know if there is anything missing, and give you a breakdown of your fees.
You will be charged the State DMV Fee (varies), our $30 service fee, and will have options for postage. If you do not wish to pay postage, simply provide your own return postage when you send us your original documents.
USPS Priority (3-5 business days): $9.00
USPS Express (1-2 business days): $28.00
We accept business checks, cashier checks, money orders, or credit/debit cards over the phone.
Please note that credit/debit card transactions will incur an additional 3%.

Mail-in transactions are processed within 1-3 business days that they are received. If we receive your documents and there is anything missing, you will be contacted ASAP.
